To serve a Party Wall Notice properly and for the notice to be valid you must have key information within the Notice.
They are as follows below:
- The correct name and address of your neighbour
- Your full name and any other name of any other owner or owners of your property where works shall be taking place
- The date of when you serve the notice
- Description of the proposed works
- Start date of when you wish to begin your works
- The relevant section(s) of the Party Wall Act
Without having the above information in your notice it will most likely be deemed invalid and you will have to re-start the process of serving a Valid Notice again.
